Every month, I compile a list of things that captured my attention. Five things that made my life a little happier: five things that inspired me.
As mothers (and fathers), we sometimes lose track of what makes us tick, what makes our hearts leap. The intention of this little list is to remind you that what you love is important. What moves you is important. Chase it, find it, hold it close. You can rediscover yourself in small ways, and in that, become a better parent. One that is happier, more content, more available to their children.
This is the list of what I love this month. What did you find? Leave a comment and let me know what moved you this month!
1. A Star Is Born
As someone who’s not a huge fan of Gagaor Bradley Cooper, I went into this movie with low expectations (despite being a music nut). I can’t express clearly enough what a piece of art this film is, in every way. The music, the acting, the story, the emotion. It took me a few days to process everything, but once I did, I wanted to see the movie again. And again. And again.
2. Reusable Snack Bags from Full Circle Home
What a great idea! I always feel guilty using hundreds of Ziplock bags, and now I don’t have to! These are cute, earth-friendly, and cut down on single use plastics, which as well as know issuper trendy right now *wink*. I’m kidding, it’s obviously incredibly important to reduce our plastic usage. And here’s an easy way!
3. The Bearded Musk Boyfriend Candle
I love candles, especially ones with masculine scents. This has been one of my faves, and has been burning steadily, filling my home with the smells of Oak, Amber, and Eucalyptus.
4. Running
I have beenloving running. As someone who hashated running my entire life, this is so weird to me. Here’s how I did it.
- I made a commitment to run every day, and to start with 8 minutes a day.
- Then, each week I would add an additional minute to my daily run.
- The idea is that by the end of 52 weeks (one full year), that I’d be running 60 minutes a day.
And guess what? I actually look forward to my daily run now! Do you like running? If not, give my plan a go, and let me know what you think!
5. Chicken and dumplings crock pot soup
Chicken and dumplings crock pot soup. You could actually do this with a hearty vegetable soup as well if you’re a veg head! The key is using Pillsbury Biscuits as your dumplings. So easy, so yummy, and my toddleractually ate vegetables! Rejoice!
